The Ceramic Tile Industry uses mostly automated systems such as bell or vella which is a type of a waterfall, disc and spray.
The Pottery industry uses dipping and hand spray.
The Sanitary ware industry by robotic spray equipment or hand spray.

The choice of application is product specific, for example if a decoration is placed on tableware, the method would be using decals or by hand painting. The latest trend in applying designs is using inkjet technology.
